Our Construction History

1980-1990
La Jolla native Ronald Nau formed Nau Builders in 1985. First specializing in residential remodeling, Ronald mastered his ability to work close with owners and carry out their visions.
1990-2000
Taking advantage of a prosperous real estate market between the mid 1990s to 2005, Nau Builders moved onto building larger custom homes and developing luxury mixed-use projects throughout La Jolla and the coastal areas specializing in mixed-use development and underground parking.
2000 - 2010
Kyle Nau started working for the company in 2007 and the father-son working relationship became a great company asset. Due to its reputation in the community of possessing high integrity and exemplary customer service, Nau Builders, Inc. managed to continue strong through the late 2000s recession.
2010 - 2020
Nau Builders strengthened its reputation as one of San Diego Coast’s most trusted home builders with unsurpassed customer service and client attention as well as marking its 120th local project.
2020 - Today
Kyle Nau continues the legacy of Nau Builders, Inc.

Kyle Nau

Kyle Nau began working alongside his father in 2007 strengthening the business’ foundation for a successful future, and has since continued his father’s legacy in carrying Nau Builders, Inc’s reputation of integrity and customer service.

Kyle graduated from California Polytechnic State University with a degree in Entrepreneurship and Real Estate Investment, holds an MBA in Business Management, is a licensed California Real Estate Broker, has attended the Turner School of Construction Management, and had earned the LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Green Associate credential.

Hobbies: Kyle has traveled to 34 countries and has lived in three, he enjoys reading, outdoor activities, growing exotic subtropical plants, and spending quality time with his wife and son.
